“A vote of yes in San Antonio actually affirms the oneness about conviction and the hope of the advent. It affirms the oneness of our insights about Jesus in the Sanctuary. It affirms our oneness about the value and the importance of the Sabbath. It doesn’t detract from that oneness at all. But it enables us to share that hope that we have on those convictions in ways that really meet the needs of our different cultures and different national contexts.
My vision for the church is a church that is hopeful of a future. It looks forward to the future with confidence and with energy and with bright hope, and that it’s a church that is inclusive of all of the gifts that God has given. That there are no gifts left aside. And that we are genuinely a community of faith and conviction. That’s my view. An inclusive church that welcomes every gift that God has given.”
